The Minister of Business Sector announces the withdrawal of the "Chinese" partner from the project to manufacture electric cars
Eng. Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of Business Sector, said that there are commercial disputes with the Chinese company regarding the manufacture of the electric car, which ended with the withdrawal of the Chinese partner.
He added, during a telephone interview with the "Hadrat Al-Citizen" program, presented by the journalist Sayed Ali, on the "Al-Hadath Al-Youm" screen, today, Monday, that an alternative is being sought, which will not be less than the company, explaining that the decision will be at the end of this November.
He indicated that production may be delayed by two or three months, but he clarified that the modernization of the Al-Nasr Factory and the provision of equipment not related to the production itself have already begun. He pointed out to continue preparing for the infrastructure required for the operation of the electric car in Egypt, explaining that charging the car at the stations takes 8 hours.
