Dr. Ayman Hossam El-Din, Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, commented on the over-price crisis on cars during the recent period.
Hossam El-Din said, during a telephone interview with the "Masaa DMC" program, broadcast on the DMC satellite channel, "A sticker will be placed on each new car with the price, and in the event of any change in prices, the buyer must file a complaint."
He added, "Today, a decision was issued organizing the over-price phenomenon and it was published in the Official Gazette, and there will be no new or used car after November 15 that does not have the price written on it."
He explained: "The sticker that will be placed on the car has specific specifications and shape and bears the logo of the Consumer Protection Agency. It can be reported by informing the Consumer Protection Agency in the event of a violation immediately." He continued: "The Consumer Protection Agency intervenes if there is a dispute between the price written on the label and What the seller says, and the fine in this case is up to 2 million pounds.”
He pointed out: "There are conditions that must be met in the receipt of the car reservation, which are the price of the car at the time of delivery, the re-delivery and the payment of the reservation, the comprehensive price of the car, and if these conditions are not met, the violation will be signed."
He continued: "If he does not commit to handing over the car, the car reservation provider will be refunded, plus benefits, and the buyer has the option to return the money or wait to get the car."
